Boutique Pageantry™
What is a Boutique Pageant™ or Boutique Pageantry™?
It’s intentionality. It’s curation. It’s an intimate experience.
We’ve created National Outstanding Miss™ with that ethos at the forefront because we are experience-forward as Directors. We’ve both competed for years. We’ve been part of an inaugural class of queens, and we’ve been one of 50. We’ve experienced pageantry from different perspectives, and each of those experiences taught us lessons about what we valued, what we enjoyed, and what we would do differently if we ever created a pageant of our own.
We also understand that you can’t be everything to everyone. There is a pageant for every competitor, and we’d love for NOM to be the one for you.
So what have we done to make your experience unique?
We Streamlined Our Age Divisions
There are already so many pageants serving younger competitors, so we chose to focus National Outstanding Miss™ on older age groups. We don’t need to offer every possible division simply for the sake of having more contestants.
We Put Philanthropy First
We made Philanthropy the largest part of our competition because service is an integral part of both of our lives. It isn’t an optional at NOM. It isn’t an extra award. It’s 40% of your score because we believe service should matter.
We Chose Catwalk
We chose Catwalk instead of traditional Evening Gown or Formal Wear because we love seeing new and exciting personal expression on a stage or runway. We want to see what you choose when you’re given the freedom to show us your style.
This Isn’t a Numbers Game
And we aren’t recruiting 50 women in every division just because more contestants mean more entry fees. Could we make more money by packing every division with as many competitors as possible? Of course.
That’s not the experience we’re trying to create.
NOM is absolutely a passion project for us. We’d rather have 5–10 women in each age division and be able to pour into them, get to know them, and make their experience memorable in all the right ways. If that means choosing a more intimate experience over maximizing the number of entry fees we collect, we’re comfortable with that choice.
We’ve also left room for NOM to grow. If the program attracts more women than expected, we’ve allowed for that. That’s the intentionality built into the system from the start.
Even Our Hotel Was Chosen Intentionally
We chose a boutique hotel for our Boutique Pageant™ because the environment matters, too. The Castle Hotel is gorgeous and quiet, with access to the amenities and attractions that make Orlando fun without putting our Delegates in the middle of constant chaos.
If you’re from Orlando, you understand.
We Built a Schedule That Lets You Breathe
We’ve structured the competition so you have time to breathe, eat, and rest without losing momentum or feeling stressed by the schedule. We know what it’s like to compete at events where every minute seems scheduled—and we know what it’s like to spend hours waiting for the next thing to happen. Neither was the experience we wanted to create.
We’ve taken the essence of pageantry that could easily fill a week and distilled it down to the essentials:
We’ve also priced the event with accessibility in mind. Our national fee is in line with what many competitors already pay to compete at the state level.
Boutique doesn’t mean expensive. It means curated.
There is a lot planned for our inaugural National Event, and much of it is still in development. But that’s part of the intentionality, too. We’re not adding activities simply to fill a schedule or checking boxes because “that’s what pageants do.”
We’re building the kind of pageant experience we would want to have ourselves.
That’s Boutique Pageantry™.
We don’t stand still. We stand out.™
Will you stand with us?
